Sleep paralysis and hallucinations Posted on Thursday, 3 September, 2009| 3:29 | Comments: 2 J. Patterson: The following are the most credible and scientific sites I could find, along with a few related sites with a more personal/supportive aspect. Ever awakened to find you couldn't move, saw or sensed a presence, heard a voice, felt physical sensations like excessive weight on your body or smothering, and been terrified? Before scrambling to find someone to do an exorcism, please consult a few of the sites below for information on less paranormal explanations for your experience, and make up your own min...

Dream walk Posted on Tuesday, 1 September, 2009| 4:30 | Comments: 14 Mark Dohle: The other morning I got up for one of my walks. It was very early, about 1:30. The walk started off well, for one of the best moments is simply opening the door and stepping out into the darkness, embracing the feeling of expansiveness that comes from looking up at the night sky, the stars and best of all the moon, in all of it’s phases. Usually I find it easy to meditate as I slowly take my steps around the property. Or if I can’t meditate and quiet my mind, using my prayer rope helps a great deal in keeping me centered...

A short history of the Illuminati Posted on Sunday, 30 August, 2009| 5:26 | Comments: 3 William B Stoecker: The very word "illuminati" can produce strong reactions among true believers and debunkers alike, and the situation is not helped by the many inaccuracies in the film "Angels and Demons." One little known fact: the word has a very specific meaning. It refers to people who are either spiritually enlightened or who claim to be, and it is perhaps significant that many of today's elites refer to themselves as "wise men," and tend to be intellectually pretentious. Mystics have always believed that, by such means as meditation, people can achi...

The “spirit or alien” question Posted on Friday, 28 August, 2009| 4:11 | Comments: 7 Peter Fotis Kapnistos: At the dawn of our social development, humans believed that the sky or firmament was the abode of spirits. In most traditions, a spirit was a ghost or being without a material body. The sky as seen from Earth was called “the heavens” and was accepted in various doctrines as the dwelling place of God and angels –– as well as the blessed after death. Most religions looked upon the spirit as an intelligent life force or “soul.”
The introduction of modern science finally consigned ghosts and spirits to the fan...

Morphing transforming UFOs ? Posted on Wednesday, 26 August, 2009| 5:19 | Comments: 6 Paul Dale Roberts: I have heard many strange stories, but this story has got to be the strangest yet. The story can't be verified for authenticity, but it is still a story that should be told. Take a seat and let me tell you this bizarre tale of strangeness.
I receive a call from a young man named Johnny. Johnny does not want his full name in this article, nor does he want to let you know where the incident occurred. He will let you know that the incident happened somewhere in the Midwest. Four years ago, Johnny and his friend...

Civil war mysteries Posted on Monday, 24 August, 2009| 4:30 | Comments: 10 William B Stoecker: Today we are told that Abraham Lincoln was perhaps the greatest of our presidents and that the Civil War was fought to preserve the Union and abolish the very real evil of slavery. While it was fought to preserve the Union, Lincoln showed little interest in the slavery issue until it became politically useful, and initially freed only the slaves in the South, while others continued to be enslaved in states that had not seceded. Lincoln suspended many Constitutional liberties during the war, and had some of his opponents arbitrarily arrested and ...

Strange orbs on the stairs Posted on Saturday, 22 August, 2009| 4:21 | Comments: 5 Nancy Bradley: My office in northern California has been dubbed the “Enchanted Cottage.” Although it is in a small town about 30 miles outside of Sacramento, I am reluctant to move my Friday Night Psychic Classes to a larger location closer to a big city because of the extreme psychic energy that is represented here. Those who come to the classes agree that it is worth the drive not only to hear the lectures, but to enjoy the spirits that reside here with me. The cottage area, by all accounts (and confirmed by former Historian of th...

Reincarnation: "Oh no, not you again" Posted on Wednesday, 19 August, 2009| 9:11 | Comments: 1 Marco. M Pardi: Atop my computer monitor sits a small sign: “Do Not Reincarnate.” I put this there on the chance that my big Stage Left moment might come while staring into the Looking Glass of All That’s Out There. This full disclosure is my brief way of ensuring that no ambiguities arise among the various interpretations of what I write below. Actually, most of us have response memes, easily or not so easily triggered, stored in our head jelly. When I hear someone respond to the question, “How are you?” by saying “Good” my meme, “Did not proce...

You are not a number Posted on Sunday, 16 August, 2009| 5:59 | Comments: 9 Phillip Tilley: "Banks lend by creating credit. They create the means of payment out of nothing."—Ralph M. Hawtrey. Lenders make a big deal out of your credit score, but what is a credit score and is it really important to you? Lenders often say your credit score is the most important three-digit number in your life. Why is it so important? Because it can affect many areas of your life, such as if you get credit extended to you or not, what interest rate you will pay, whether a landlord will rent to you or not, what the rate on your insurance is and whet...
