Mix-up sees flight with only one passenger

Image Credit: CC BY-SA 2.0 merlion86 A trip aboard an airline typically involves a barrage of irritations ranging from screaming babies to the person in front reclining their seat so much that you can barely move, yet for media strategist Chris O'Leary this week a routine flight home turned in to the complete opposite - a trip with no other passengers at all.

The mix-up occurred when O'Leary turned up to board his flight to New York only to discover that all of the other passengers had been re-booked onto an earlier departure.

"It was definitely the most memorable flight I've been on in recent memory," he said. "All I did was get on a plane I was booked to get on. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time."After he had boarded the plane the flight attendant, who was quite amused by the whole thing, provided him with his own personal safety demo. "I wouldn't be able to say this, but if there's an evacuation you can probably just follow us to the nearest exit," she said.

Despite the bizarre circumstances however the flight went ahead as scheduled.
