Mysterious doors appear across Nova Scotia

Who has been setting up the doors and for what purpose ? Image Credit: CC BY-SA 2.0 Alicia Rae The doors, which have been appearing in a variety of sizes and colors, have become so prolific that people from across the province have been taking to social media in an effort to solve the mystery.

The town of Truro has become the latest target, with doors of different colors appearing in Victoria Park, Truro Mall and outside the farmers' market on Prince Street.

Other town and cities, including New Glasgow and Pictou, have also been targeted."We're not sure about it, it is just a door that appeared," said Truro Mall marketing manage Jaclyn Johnston. "We're not sure what is going on, but it is creating a lot of buzz in the community."

The most likely explanation at the moment is that the doors are part of some sort of promotional exercise, however it remains unclear who is responsible for setting them up.

"I don't really know anything about them," said witness Christine Bulk.

"I just heard you are supposed to take a picture of them if you find one, post it online and in a few days it will be revealed what they're for."
