Giant fossil bird found on 'hobbit' island

Fossils of a giant stork have been discovered on the same island as the human-like "hobbits".
The massive bird would have stood 1.8m tall and would have not only dwarfed Homo floresiensis but could have feasted on their young as well. The fossils place the stork at living on the island between 20,000 and 50,000 years ago.
A giant marabou stork has been discovered on an island once home to human-like 'hobbits'. Fossils of the bird were discovered on the Indonesian island of Flores, a place previously famed for the discovery of Homo floresiensis, a small hominin species closely related to modern humans.

Ok the hobbit thing might not be true. As far as being it's own species. But to the op... This is still a neat find. Where else is it found around there? The stork could fly yes? Is there evidence of a nesting area or more than just this one bird? Significance would stem from these answers for me. I do enjoy fossil finds though regardless of significance, it still really interests me.
