Man accidentally cooks cash in oven

In retrospect, storing $15,000 in cash inside his kitchen oven probably wasn't the best of ideas.
The unidentified man from Sydney received the bundle of notes after selling his car and decided that the safest place to store them for the time being was inside his oven because it was rarely used. Unfortunately on that same day his wife decided to cook some chicken nuggets and the money was baked in to a big purple mess."It was everything I had," said the man. "I've got nothing to my name. That money was supposed to go towards my mortgage." According to the bank there may be a chance that at least some of the money can be redeemed if he takes the damaged notes to his local branch.
His wife was equally distraught and, reportedly, could not stop crying when telling her husband after she discovered what happened: The cash was baked into a colorful burnt mess.
