At last science has fallen in to line with the rest of us. Scientists now say as of August 2005 that they have identified the part of the brain that covers the sixth sense, and particularly warns us of coming danger. The findings based on the numbers of Sri-lankan tribes-people, and animals that somehow sensed all was not right and escaped to high land immediately before the Boxing day Tsunami, thus saving themselves from the disaster.Co-author of the studies Joshua Brown, based at Washington University at St.louis claimed that this part of the brain figures things out without you knowing how, from the anterior cingulate cortex , a brain area near the top of the frontal cortex. The latest research says it acts as a pre-warning in anticipation of possible problems. This confirms previous research by the likes of Prof.Robert crookall and others. The present findings published in the Journal “Science” are in direct conflict with the modern psychological school who say there are no such thing as “psychics”.

In a stinging reply, my colleague Dr. John Hopton lecturer in the sciences made the claim that,Psychology is just “hogwash” Quack psychologists like Susan Blackmore, and Richard Wiseman, perhaps do understand psychology, but are just not equipped to make comments on the T.V about psychic abilities, and just look fools. But science itself is suspect, these are the people who told us the world was flat, and there were no such thing as giant squid, this weeks findings show that records of giant squid were not only true, but on these giant squid were sucker marks of even bigger squid !And on march 2nd 2006 an even bigger giant squid larger than a London bus was put on show at Central London natural History museum, with 6 metre tentacles. So much for these science experts ![!gad]At last science has fallen in to line with the rest of us. That's the fascination of science, it's based on theories and counter-thoeries. It's the scientists who preach sience as if it were dogma or some ramblings of an extremist that make science look bad. And regards to the new findings, that's good news. The Supernatural is one step closer to being very natural.

Yea I was also wondering if there was a source to this information as well.

HERE is the abstract to the Joshua Brown acrticle you talk about and HERE is Joshua Brown's personal website. The only thing the ACC predicts is error, not the future. If there is any other article or researcher you'd like to try and say has found "proof" of a sixth sense, please post them.

The writer vastly overstates his case. Certainly scientists get things wrong all the time, but science is a process, and it is designed to be self correcting. Many scientific theories hold sway as "fact" for a long time based on the best available evidence. But then when new information comes in, old theories are modified or swept aside -- but this does not mean scientists were "wrong" as much as they are in a constant state of improving on what they know. It was scientists who did away with the flat earth theory -- it was religious fanatatics that insisted flat earth remain fact. Remember Gal... [More]

Nicely put Iron Ghost. Almost exactly what I was going to say except you beat me to it. I find it interesting that the title is Scientists Wrong Again but the second line of the article quotes wscientists. If scientists are so stupid then the whole basis of the article can not be trusted, but then the psychics knew I was going to say that didn't they?

I only dislike those who bash those who disagree with science. They think you're stupid for disagreeing with science, but yet when a scientists is wrong the skeptics shut the hell up and won't say anything. It's probably something such as this that caused him to write this way about science.

It's probably something such as this that caused him to write this way about science. The problem is that there is a lack of understanding of scientific method. Science is a search for the truth. It deals in observation and theories. As such it does not recognise that which it does not find evidence. But scientists will also tell you that an absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
