Oldest human hairs found in hyena dung fossil

The oldest known human hairs have been discovered inside the fossil of ancient hyena dung unearthed in a Chilean cemetery, pushing the record back some 200,000 years.
The oldest known human hair belonged to a 9,000-year-old mummy disinterred from an ancient Chilean cemetery. Until now. A recent discovery pushes the record back some 200,000 years."

The statement implies that humans populated Chile 200,000 YBP. The hairs were found in South Africa - home sweet home for us all. Harte

Hyena dung?!....well, I guess that answers the age old question, "Whatever happened to Adam?" That's quite a death, you know, being laughed at when you're being chewed up too.

The opening statement on the main page: is incorrect. The statement implies that humans populated Chile 200,000 YBP. The hairs were found in South Africa - home sweet home for us all. Harte I wonder how they could make such a huge mistake
