Conspiracy theorists are claiming that the CIA is covering up details pertaining to Lee Harvey Oswald and the John F. Kennedy assassination, while the CIA claims it is only protecting legitimate secrets.
Is the Central Intelligence Agency covering up some dark secret about the assassination of John F. Kennedy? Probably not. But you would not know it from the C.I.A.’s behavior.

I think part of the impression of a cover-up comes from the fact that the government bungled the autopsy so badly. If you ever get a chance, check out the commentary of Dr. Michael Baden, a forensic anthropologist who was hired by the government to review the findings. The original autopsy was like a Mel Brooks' movie-- just one idiotic disaster after the next (x-rays burned because they were left too close to a light bulb, documents missing, etc.) It's literally unbelievable how badly things were done in such an important situation. Some of this could be construed as a cover up, but I think m... [More]

I'm sure the CIA has good reasons to cover up any information about a riffle that shoots one bullet that can split up with pieces that can move in different directions... Wouldn't you hide an information like that???

I refer you to an earlier thread... Posted 22 October 2009 - 11:10 AM From: Global Research The New York Times, on October 17, published a page-one story by Scott Shane about the CIA’s defiance of a court order to release documents pertaining to the John F. Kennedy assassination, in its so-called Joannides file. George Joannides was the CIA case officer for a Cuban exile group that made headlines in 1963 by its public engagements with Lee Harvey Oswald, just a few weeks before Oswald allegedly killed Kennedy. For over six years a former Washington Post reporter, Jefferson Morley, has been su... [More]

Actually if a conspiracy occurred it would have collapsed under its own weight. The CIA would have required cooperation by the FBI, Secret Service, military and the Dallas police department. Watergate failed and was either run directly by Nixon or someone close to him and Iran Contra failed and was under Reagan's nose. In 47 years someone would come up with a book deal worth millions in return for immunity or some other leak would surface. The failure of the Warren Commission to fully explain the three shots doomed it to failure because it opened up the issue of the mechanical function limitat... [More]

Another point. The original 6.5x52mm Carcano barrel design, developed by the Brescia Arsenal used a gain twist barrel (only military rifle with this feature) with deep rifling to reduce wear, extend barrel life and give consistent accuracy. Gain twist is a progressive turning with the highest rate near the muzzle. This results in less torque being imparted to the bullet during firing. The impact of gain twist results in the bullet having a high spin rate and a straight trajectory. This combined with the high sectional density (length to diameter) of the 6.5mm bullet and being fully jacketed (v... [More]

Generally speaking, when a person's behaviour changes, they are hiding something. But I'm hard pressed to see any changes here. This is the CIA acting like the CIA. People that have your approach make it all too simple for the government (amongst other organizations) to do, hide, and cover up whatever they wish.
