Philippe Croizon will attempt a world record by being the first person with no arms or legs to swim the English Channel.
Using a specially designed swimsuit with flippers connected to his limbs and a snorkel that runs up between his eyes he will attempt to swim the 22-mile stretch of water that separates England and France.
A Frenchman who lost all his arms and legs in a freak accident is preparing to swim cross the English Channel. Philippe Croizon will instantly earn himself a place in the record books if his 22 miles crossing from Folkestone, Kent, to Cap-Gris-Nez, near Calais, is successful.
