A rectangular shaped feature that looks like a street grid in the middle of the sea has been spotted on Google Ocean.
It was spotted by an aeronautical engineer who said that it resembled an aerial map of a city, given its location some believe that the feature represents the resting place of the fabled Atlantis.
The network of criss-cross lines is 620 miles off the coast of north west Africa near the Canary Islands on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean. The perfect rectangle – which is around the size of Wales – was noticed on the search giant's underwater exploration tool by an aeronautical engineer who claims it looks like an "aerial map" of a city.

As far i know, "Atlantis" has got just one mention - Plato's timeas and Critias. You say that Scottish /Irish Mythology has got mention of "Atlantis' in them? yes and no Scottish and Irish mythology have direct symbolism. And also it has been stated that,(and i do no agree or disagree with this) but that some colonies in ireland were started from descendents of egyptians and if you go into it even further they say egyptians are direct descendants from thos from atlantis. but like i sayed a couple replies ahead i did not say aryans were in atlantis i said it has been said before.

As far i know, "Atlantis" has got just one mention - Plato's timeas and Critias. You say that Scottish /Irish Mythology has got mention of "Atlantis' in them? Yes The landbridge linking Britain to Europe at the end of the last ice age was more than just a little piece of land across the Channel it covered a vast area of the North Sea meaning you could walk from Newcastle to Denmark. Two theories exist as to why this land vanished. One is that rising sea levels gradually submerged the land. The other is that it went under in one day due to catalacsym. Now the first theory was the most popular u... [More]

Thanks for the correction. however, DNA and linguistics show that britians and irish are descendants from egyptians more or less the britains but the link is in there for the irish as well. Care to substantiate and source that? Because I must have missed that. As far as I know, geneticist Stephen Oppenheimer suggests that DNA analysis attests that three quarters of Britons share a common ancestry with the hunter-gatherers who settled in Atlantic Europe during the Paleolithic era. He continues to say, that the majority of the people of the British Isles also share genetic commonalities with the... [More]

In regards to underwater cities there is also the opposite situation where isostatic rebound is causing the land to rise. In Newfoundland there is a town in which the newest visitors to the area have been near the sea. Go uphill and older settlements are located. The uphill path is in the direction of the ancient shoreline. The town boasts 9000 years of human living. Excavation for a new bowling alley in town brought up artifacts. After that everyone in town ended up with a dig in their front and backyards by university students and staff.

This needs to be looked into and explored. There's several areas of interest with 45 and 90 degree angle objects in the Madeira Plains and even in the Dragon Seamount north of Madeira. If they are connected then this place was truly massive thousands of years ago. Sadly i don't think we have any maned vehicle that can survive that depth. The DSV Alvin only has a max depth of around -1500 feet "ruins are nearly -1800 feet". It's possible that an unmanned vehicle could make the trip but not everyone would be satisfied with that. Seeing something with your own 2 eyes up close just makes it that m... [More]

If you read the old histories of Ireland you will see that many different groups have colonized Ireland. Only one I believe, the Formorians, were rumoured to have arrived from Africa, and they did not stay. Of the rest, the earliest non-native people to set foot on Ireland came from Anatolia, with subsequent groups arriving from elsewhere in the Middle East and further north from Scythia. I think it is a stretch to say that the Irish are ethnically Egyptian. As for the Iberian link, the Lebor Gabála Érenn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebor_Gab%C3%A1la_%C3%89renn) postulates that the Parthol... [More]

Tell me where not beating this old horse again. Atlantis is clearly a cautionary moral tale. Platos story is just that, a tale. It amazes me the effort people make in looking for atlantis- if they were so civilized would more of there culture not have survived?
