I'm not Catholic, but I think you have to have 3 Miracles that happened due to your intervention while you were alive and 3 more miracles that happened in your name after you are dead.

I understand what your saying Belial, while I don't think he was a bad human being or that he didn't love God,there were things that weren't right.Most people including many catholics home in on the sex abuse scandal for one thing.With all the reports that must have gone to Rome over the years, he should have gotten rid of both priests who abused or most certainly those bishops who moved sex abusers around. I feel sorry for those that r so narrow-minded to condemn the catholic religion because of a few. And at least one of these sex abuse scandals were proven unfaithful due to the victim coming forward and admitting they had lied. This happens in other faiths too, maybe satan working? The catholic faith is a very loving and charitable faith. We don't condemn anyone else, that's God's job. So why are we condemned by those who know no better. It's very hurtful to hear such things.

The pope a Saint? If that becomes the case I don't think the church knows or cares what a Saint is anymore.

To be a saint there has to be documented miracles after he was prayed to....You can not be a saint in life, only after death... Ok just to make a point here, I read someone bring up the sex abuse scandal, the problem is that in the Catholic church if those priests confessed they were forgiven by God, that is the belief so for anyone including the Pope to still do anything they would be putting themselves about God and they can't and won't do that...normally this isn't a problem however in the abuse cases there was only so much that could be done...
