Race horses die in freak accident

Electrical sounds like the most likely answer seeing as the humans wearing shoes were not affected and the horses having metal(Aluminum) shoes were. Add that to wet grass......ZZZZAAAAAPPPPP!!!!!!!! Like giant bug zapper!

Very odd even if it was a wire thats been there for 30 years thats still odd that it kills 2 horses 30 years later

Heard of this through the week and wasn't able to view or look look at the item... still can't, too horrible.

I don't think this was electrocution as the riders would have felt it. I would have to say it was a poisoning of some kind.

They should just ban horse racing all together.

Although the investigation continues, it does seem to be electrocution is what happened, Thongy. Terribly sad. See Here Didn't some reports have the riders stating they felt tingling? Sure I read that somewhere. I went to a wonderful community conference at this place about 5 years ago and it was terrible to read about this as my workmates and I had great jolly there. Poor horses

Wouldn't be surprised if it was an attempt to fix the race.

Sad, just sad. I hope they find out what acually happened to the horses. I for one would really like to know.
