Man can only create art when sleepwalking

Lee Hadwin has a hidden talent - he can create amazing pieces of art, but only when he's asleep.
Hadwin first discovered he was able to draw when asleep after scribbling on his mother's furniture while sleepwalking as a child. To this day he doesn't know why he's unable to draw when awake but suspects his talent may be the result of spirits communicating through him from the other side.
Being an artist is so easy, Lee Hadwin can do it in his sleep, but when he is awake, the 37-year-old, who got a D in art at school, cannot paint or draw to save his life.

Intriguing. Reading the notes others had posted beneath the article, it becomes easier to assess a known pattern. While awake, the conscious mind suppresses the subconscious (naturally in any case). But raw creativity resides in the subconscious. Sleep-walking is Delta-stage sleep, so the consciousness is blunted/muted. Given that the words A R S E and the F-bomb are in that one picture, along with numbers, etc, that follows a more Freudian approach of repression (doubly so combined with trauma). Now I'm curious about if there have been any other studies with him...
