DogTV is intended to keep your dog entertained and relaxed while you are out of the house.
After a two-month run in California, the channel has now appeared online and is due to be shown nationwide. "They love watching other dogs being active on the screen, and other animals," said marketing head Beke Lubeach. DogTV has even become a hit at the Humane Society animal shelter in Escondido that has reported a "marked improvement" in the dogs exposed to the channel.
The advertising-free programming is aimed at stay-at-home dogs whose out-to-work masters fret about the separation anxiety their pets suffer, and the trouble they get into, when left unattended for long stretches of time.
