"Here, in 1958 there was an TU-154 airplane crash," explained Vladimir Kuznetsov, one of the visitors attending the event. "There were some reports from the locals that a UFO pursued the air craft till it reached Baikal waters right here. And there were frequent reports of UFO activity around Baikal. So this is the reason why we decided to meet here. I hope that we will be lucky enough to shoot something interesting."

UFO enthusiasts camp at Russian lake

More than 50 people have camped at Russia's Lake Baikai to search for evidence of alien visitors.
The meet-up is part of the "Trans-Eurasian UFO-Search expedition" which aims to watch the skies for UFOs. Reuters reports more than 50 sci-fi fans have set up camp on the southern end of Lake Baikai to search the skies for extra terrestrial life as part of the 'Trans-Eurasian UFO-Search expedition. '
