Glowing blue lights wash up in Japan

Photographs of strange glowing blue objects on a Japanese shoreline have been circulating the Internet.
The mysterious objects washed up on a beach in Toyama, Japan and are in fact a type of marine creature called firefly squids which give off a blue glow through bioluminescence.

In its natural environment the light-producing capabilities help it to evade predators below by allowing it to blend in with the light coming from the surface.
These are firefly squids who spend their days in the deep Pacific Ocean only to go hunting near the ocean’s surface when the sun goes down.

Well obviously they live on depths of 250-500+ meters that's why they're bioluminescent, maybe something scared them.....

http://www.hotaruika.../knowledges.htm It's also to spawn . http://www.seasky.or...efly-squid.html Did anyone bother to read either of these? It's not because they are dead. And I agree with whoever said they'd be awesome in a fish tank at home.

I love cuttlefish .They are amazing . Some people do keep them as pets .Even a small tank cor one,is huge, but I think they need space .unless I could a whole wall rank ,I would feel as if I was torturing them, keeping them in such a small space .

My best guess is Jellyfish. They look like small jellyfish.
