The mysterious aircraft will be heading off in to the skies once again on another undetermined mission.
The X-37B's first mission started in 2010 and lasted 225 days, followed later by another mission that lasted 469 days. Details of the purpose of these missions remains shrouded in secrecy and the latest planned jaunt is no exception, it isn't known how long the X-37B will be away for this time or exactly what it will be doing during its flight.
"We are on track for the launch of the X-37B to occur next month, but the exact date of the launch is dependent on a number of factors including range conditions and weather," said Air Force spokesperson Lt. Col. John Dorrian.
The mission for this small shuttle-like machine, developed by the U. S. Air Force and based on NASA’s original X-37 design, remains largely classified.
