Witnesses reported a peculiar spinning object hovering in the sky over the city on Wednesday evening.
The phenomenon, which was observed by multiple witnesses near a busy intersection at around 10:30pm, consisted of several bright green lights that seemed to rotate anti-clockwise.
Footage captured of the spectacle also shows it moving off at high speed after a few seconds.
But is this evidence of extraterrestrial visitors or is something else going on ?
According to Bryan Simpson, president of the Cincinnati Astronomical Society, the phenomenon might not be quite what it seems.
"I think the real test of authenticity is if you get a lot of reports of the same thing," he said. "Otherwise it's probably fake. And by lots I want to see at least 20 different reports."
"This is so easy to fake with off the shelf motion graphics software for TikTok likes."
The local sheriff's office has since stated that it had received no reports about the incident.
Given the capabilities of CGI today I think if I were looking to make a video it would have to be high quality, visually interesting and believable. Maybe a new thread for the artistic amongst us and would like to create their own ufo video/photo and say how it was done ? I made a ufo photo years ago for my own entertainment, not posted anywhere, but now lost.
The problem is throwing the baby out with the bathwater, any real photo/ video evidence that might exist is devalued to the point of junk by the vast majority of internet content.
