The mystic, who is attributed with foretelling many major world events, made several predictions about the coming centuries.
Born in Bulgaria in 1911, Baba Vanga spent most of her life in the Kozhuh mountains and was renowned the world over for her prophetic predictions about the future.

While a great deal of skepticism has always surrounded the accuracy of these predictions, many people remain adamant that she had successfully foretold a wide range of major global events.

Even though she died back in 1996 at the age of 85, her predictions are still referenced and scrutinized for indications of what might come to pass in the future.

According to various news outlets, for 2025, she predicted the beginning of a series of events that would culminate in the end of civilization several thousand years in the future (the year 5079).

This will initially take the form of an unspecified, deadly conflict that will take place in Europe.

Her prediction for 2028 is a lot more bizarre - apparently humanity will be desperate for energy and will go to Venus to find it, which seems unlikely given that Venus is essentially a high-pressue hellscape.
By 2076, Vanga predicted, communism will have taken over the entire world.

Then, in 2130, humanity will make first contact with an intelligent alien civilization.

Things get a little 'out there' beyond this point, with some sort of war between Mars and Earth occurring in the year 3005 and the Earth being no longer able to support life in the year 3797.

This leads on to 5079 - Vanga's prophesized 'end of days'.

Of course, it's important to take these predictions with a pinch of salt - these are not foregone conclusions but the words of a single woman whose accuracy is questionable to say the least.

Whether any of these things will actually come to pass remains to be seen.

Baba Vanga's case is not an anomaly, imho.   Surdas was similarly an illiterate, blind man in India who lived in the fifteenth century A.D and who possessed precognitive abilities. Born blind, he was neglected by an indifferent family and callous world around him.  From the age of fourteen, Surdas developed precognitive abilities that brought him fame and enabled him to be self-supporting.  https://lokahitam.in/surdas/

No there's a lot of doomsday liars out there. But in the case of This guy..... Nothing in his history says he was a prophet and many of "his" devotional poems were written after he died.

He was not a prophet, just a person with pre-cognitive abilities. He did not introduce any new religious system as such. Surdas was illiterate and did not write down the songs he created.  They were obviously written down by other literate people.

He dedicated himself to Krishna, but not all "prophets" start new religious systems. Some just start new wars.

Exploiting the gullible by pretending to have some sort of 'abilities' has never gone out of style. He is no different from people like Sai Baba or all the other fraudulent 'holy people' or 'avatars'. They dress the part, utter some esoteric stuff, perform sleight-of-hand tricks to get people to worship them and make a tidy profit from the retreats, books, seminars and whatever else they can peddle too.

Have you ever been duped by a blind fourteen year old !

Just because I haven't doesn't mean no one else hasn't either and I suspect this sort of thing happens far more than one would think. Age and condition means little to nothing when it comes to fraud and deception.

Among her other predictions includes Muslims controlling Europe. This was never mentioned in the press. She didn't actually use the term "communism" but one of the editors on a website did, instead she said "classless society". Her dates were all off. I'm really not taking this seriously. The Media have done all this before with the Millennium Bug, and then the Mayan Prophesy.
