The hearing will focus on reports of 'unidentified anomalous phenomena' and hear from multiple witnesses.
Officially entitled "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth", the event, which will examine government transparency with regard to cases of UAPs that pose a potential threat to US national security, will also hear testimonies from several witnesses including retired Navy Rear Adm. Timothy Gallaudet who has previously spoken out about USOs (unidentified submerged objects).
Last year, he told NewsNation correspondent Ross Coulthart that there had been attempts by the US military to cover up the phenomenon and that there are "non-human" entities visiting the planet.
"We're being visited by non-human intelligence with technology we really don't understand and with intentions we don't understand either," he said at the time.
It will certainly be interesting to see what, if anything, will be revealed during today's proceedings.

Might not be. It’s pretty odd that all these whistleblowers are willing to make false claims. Seems like a very odd situation to me. Why say something at all if it’s not real?
I wonder what actual consequence the "whistleblowers" would face if they gave direct testimony, beyond perhaps the loss of clearance(s) and court martialing under certain circumstances.
The only one that I can definitively say is in for the money is that liar Lue Elizondo. His grift is really scummy and he knew well enough that to keep the gravy train rolling he had to be vague under oath. That, and not to perjure himself. The others might actually believe what they say on some level. They could believe wholeheartedly but simply are either misinformed or incorrect in what they assert. It's the ones where the details of their story always changes that sets off alarms for me. ??
Many that are presenting items at the Senate hearings are either former civilian contractors or retired military personnel. Neither would be subject to the UCMJ (court martialed) but could face some lawsuit for unauthorized disclosure of classified items. I fail to see the purpose or benefit of the hearings if there is no information disclosed though. The Senate panel could very easily provide immunity protection in exchange for testimony. The fact that isn't even happening is another red flag for me.
15 minutes of fame, cultural phenomenon, podcasts vip, books, movies, disinformation, ... not even to mention that some of them might actually believe in this.
15 minutes of fame doesn’t pay bills, but a career in the government with retirement does. I don’t know what a person makes for a podcast, but I’d bet it’s less than a monthly paycheck. Some people make some money on book and movie deals….but they are few and far between. Some people may believe in ET, as you mention, but personally I would not put my career at risk for providing hearsay and getting 15 minutes of fame. IDK. This whole thing just seems bizarre.
