If something really is lurking in the depths of Scotland's Loch Ness, it didn't make itself apparent much in 2024.
Whether or not you happen to believe that there is a large, unidentified creature in the depths of Scotland's most voluminous loch, there's no denying that the Loch Ness Monster mystery still remains one of the most enduring cryptozoological enigmas in the world today.
Many visitors to the loch believe that they have seen the monster and while there is still no concrete evidence of its existence, interest in the phenomenon remains high.
That said, according to the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, there were only three sightings this year and two of those were picked up beneath the surface via sonar.
This is in stark contrast to the year before which saw ten registered sightings.

Whether or not next year will see more glimpses of the monster remains to be seen.
